Bac Ninh focuses on training high-quality human resources with an emphasis on practical application and practice.

According to the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Bac Ninh province, the labor force accounts for over 51% of the province's population, with the quality of human resources being increasingly enhanced. In 2023, the rate of trained labor in the entire province reached 78%, of which 34.5% were trained in vocational schools. High-level technical professionals make up more than 9% of the total labor force, while mid-level technical professionals account for 11.5%.

To achieve these results, the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, acting as the state management agency for vocational education, has guided and directed vocational education institutions to actively develop and adjust enrollment and training plans in an open and flexible manner. At the same time, it has intensified the training of skilled labor, especially high-quality human resources through enhanced practice and internships, ensuring the supply of skilled labor to meet the market demand, particularly for foreign-invested enterprises and key economic zones. Notably, Bac Ninh Industrial College exceeded its enrollment target, currently focusing on training a total of 2,320 students across all three levels of education (including 1,750 college students and 530 vocational students). The school has developed curricula, teaching materials, and instructional resources according to German standards, aiming to become a high-quality institution by 2025.

On January 3rd, at the 2024 Annual Work Deployment Conference of the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan, Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, highlighted the achievements in vocational training, vocational education development, and human resource quality improvement as some of the sector's standout achievements over the past year.

To better fulfill the tasks in the coming time, Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan requested the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs to effectively implement solutions for developing vocational education, especially in training high-quality human resources focused on practical application and practice. Emphasis is placed on training and retraining human resources in line with the process of restructuring the economy, ensuring the supply of skilled labor to meet the labor market demand. Special attention is given to accelerating the construction of high-quality schools in the province.

Additionally, efforts will continue to implement solutions for the recovery and development of the labor market, stabilizing and developing a comprehensive digital transformation labor market in terms of labor-employment data, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development and international integration, and promptly responding to the challenges of domestic and foreign economies.

Furthermore, units need to focus on advising on investment attraction mechanisms and policies, training high-quality human resources, especially in the semiconductor industry invested in Bac Ninh province, ensuring quality and timely progress for presentation to the Provincial People's Council at the April 2024 session - Mr. Vuong Quoc Tuan noted.
